About me
I am originally from Barcelona, Catalonia, where I developed an early interest in politics, public institutions, and—inevitably—a strong attachment to FC Barcelona.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2008), and a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (2009).
After my studies, I worked in a range of public and private sector organizations, including the Spanish Ministry of Defence, the Embassy of South Korea in Madrid, and the think tank CIDOB.
In 2010, I joined ESADE Center for Public Governance, which marked the beginning of my transition into academia.
I moved to the Netherlands in 2012, mostly for love, but also to pursue a Research Master in Public Administration and Organizational Sciences at Utrecht University. This marked the beginning of my academic trajectory in the Netherlands.
During my time at Utrecht University, I met Prof. dr. Caelesta Braun, who later supervised my PhD at Leiden University. Following the completion of my PhD, I joined Erasmus University Rotterdam, where I currently work as an Assistant Professor in Public Policy.
Outside academia, I am a father of three and enjoy staying active through football and ski mountaineering.
